As I recall, you're supposed to keep the anchor, hoping for ace followed by ace from White, so you get a chance for both blots. You're a big underdog to win after break, hit, hit, and gammons and backgammons only count single.

A bonus: For now and maybe next turn, you block White's double aces, for what that's worth (tiny amount).
