1. The non-hitting plays don't leave fewer shots so I don't see an advantage to not hitting. After 15/7*, the choice seems to be between 13/9(2) and 8/4(2). Both leave 12 return shots but 8/4(2) leaves two blots so the return shots are more dangerous. I'll try 15/7* 13/9(2).
2. 7/1 seems practically forced and the choice is between 9/4 and 6/1. Although playing safe dumps a second checker behind the anchor and leaves us with a stripped position with a 3pt that is going to be hard to fill in, White's five-point board and somewhat poor timing incline me to paying later. 7/1 6/1.
3. I would just play 15/6 here, trying not to leave too many blots. We could play more aggressively to make the 5pt but when White has a broken five-prime of her own, and Blue having a race lead, that seems too bold.
4. Both running and hitting risk our race lead so I'd rather hit. 13/4*.
5. 21 pips down before the roll is a lot and at DMP I would certainly hit. For money, though, hitting incurs significant gammon risk. QF suggests hitting with 13/7 5/4* though OTB I'd probably chicken out with 13/7.
