The way I approach this problem is that if White has the choice of where to hit from (midpoint or deuce point) which would she rather do? Were I playing White, I'd rather hit from the deuce since it gets one backman activated and may give a chance to get the other out of there while blue is on the bar.

So I play 13/5 to minimize the chance of being hit from the deuce.
