I was asked not to continue helping him privately

I had this email exchange where I had ideas, but I have concluded William may be computer illiterate and may not know any better. Do I believe this is a FIBS issue. No. Do I think this is a security issue? No. Do I believe William didn't do all he could to resolve this. No. But clearly I wasted my time after seeing this thread. I was basically told by William that he gave up.

Dear Michael. I have uninstalled the software as I have plenty of other sites that are no problem. Even if I still had it installed I would not know how to send you what you asked for. I appreciate your help. Since I cannot have Fibs could you possibly send me Sundays match between Stick and Dorbel? I can export it to xgammon or gnu if you can record it. Again I appreciate your help. I just cannot keep on trying to get Fibs. It is too frustrating. Will you be recording the match Sunday? Again thank you. Sincerely Bill Patterson

Dear Michael. There was no response whatsoever. I checked the firewall and it has complete approval on firewall. I put the command into fibzilla the telnet fibs.com 4321 with no response whatsoever. None of the Fibs clients work including javafibs realfibs and fibzilla. I right clicked for administrative control also. What more can I do? Sincerely Bill Patterson

I can think of a couple of possibilities, but is is clear that the reason Fibs clients can't communicate is all for the same reason - they can't connect to fibs at all. Can you send me the output of this command (Issue it in a command prompt):
nslookup fibs.com
As well can you tell me what it shows in your browser if you go to http://fibs.com . I only need to know if your web browser shows an error message or if you can see the webpage properly?

When you did this command did you see Fibs respond with a banner and ask for a user name?

Hi Michael. I have tried what you said with still no success. I right clicked for administrator and ran the telnet fibs.com4321 and nothing works. I can use the gnu program in fibzilla but nothing else. Thanks for your help. If you have any more suggestions please let me know. Sincerely Bill Patterson
