I saw this live. A kibitzers delight. The return of the phantom prime, formerly known as p... prime. And semi counter p... priming by Stick. Dorbel substantiated, that the term p... prime is a true terminus technicus and not an insult. A heroic underdog fight. Maybe a stress test for the new backgame engine.

#1 OtB 23/21 6/1. Fiddling for the timing and getting the two men together as soon as possible, to avoid the p... prime technique.

#2 6/2 9/7. Otherwise we can't get a build in gear. Every 5 and 6 will slow us down.

#3 21/18 21/17. Agreed with the text move. What else? How to contain the checkers without a block, despite the 4 point board?

#4 This shows the dilemma. Containing the checkers and the need to build the board. I would have played 13/6* OtB.

#5 And here the tragedy culminates. If we follow Aristoteles, the best of all: "The best tragedy shows, how a good man experiences a turn from luck to mishap, and not from badness or vulgarity, but in account of an aberration about the situation."

OtB i voted for 15/7* (2). But in the retrospective, i would vote for 11/7*(2), 10/6 (2). The servant of two gents.
