1) I like making the four point. Then it's between moving the runners up to the 22 or covering the 9.

OTOH, blue can make the golden point and put immediate pressure on the two blots. Hmmmmm....I know Stick has little use for the 22 point, but I like the more aggressive play - make a homeboard point and get the runners moving. 24/22(2) 6/4(2).

2) Hit and escape with 24/14* I don't think I particular want the 18 point since I'll be ahead in the race after the play. And it's premature to bury checkers on the 2 point.

3) Here I'll gladly transition to a holding game since I'll be 17 pips behind. 24/18 13/10. I prefer the holding game to hitting loose and possibly having to play a backgame.

4) The obvious play is 15/5(2) but perhaps it's better to clear the 8 point with 8/3(3) 6/1. I'll keep it simple since I don't see any shot leaving rolls after the obvious play. 15/5(2)

5) Make the GP and bring another two checkers into the zone. 22/20(2) 13/11(2) The blot is an indirect shot so no need to get too worried about it. With a 27 point pip lead, the golden point, and 13 checkers in the zone Blue will be in good shape. If there were a reasonable attacking play I'd look at that, but I'm not seeing one...
