Glad to hear you will join the XG community.

I am not sure i'am following your "reisntallation fee". Activations are limited to one computer but are fully transferable. You do not even need to contact us to do so. If you get a new computer, just re-enter your activation code and it will tell you "The activation is already in use, do you want to transfer it?". Just answer "yes" and you will be all set.

If you have multiple XG activations, the process is a tad more complex as you will have to indicate which one of the previous activations you wish to void. Again this is done directly by the user via the program, no need to get through the tech support.
