More bearoff mistakes

At DMP you'll win for sure if you don't get hit. In the first position, the extra checker shouldn't make much difference if you do get hit, so I'd play safe (11 shots). The second position is not quite as clear because if you get hit and closed out, having 6 checkers off will be better than having 5 checkers off. Still, I doubt that it's worth leaving two extra shots so I'd play 4/1(3) 3/off in both positions at DMP.
ATS it's trickier because of gammons. However, in the first position, the gammon seems pretty much in the bag if you don't get hit, and backgammons shouldn't matter much. I'd play safe. In the second position, I'm less sure. The gammon isn't quite in the bag even if you don't get hit. However, since bearing 2 leaves you with an odd number of checkers, I'm not sure you win significantly more gammons by ripping two now. On the other hand, as before, your winning chances will be greater when you do get hit if you bear two now. I'd still play safe but this is the decision I'm least sure about.
