you are about to be doubled in. you need some offense. white has a 3 point board + the 6 blocking 8 point. making the bar leaves other game plans open. after you run, it should go D/T and you are at the complete mercy of the dice. the worst case scenario after running is (too many blots)you get 2 checkers shut out - worst case scenario after making the bar is playing from the 23 point anchor behind a growing prime - not great, but certainly better than the former case.
