Morphy was widely acclaimed as the best player in the world and then basically stopped playing. It's a little fanciful to put you in that category--I took a bit of poetic license there. It seems to me that the backgammon community would be better served if you played more--but of course it's your life, you are just as entitled to play tiddlywinks or drink sazeracs all day or go to to the dog races or whatever floats your canoe.

Anyone who thinks he is better than Ray is welcome to prove it. So far, not many folk have been able to do so.
