Who is Wilcox Snellings? Question for Wilcox

Wilcox was #1 on the Giant-32 list in 1993 (the very first time it came out), #2 in 1995 and #3 in 1997. He lived in New York and played regularly at the Coterie, back when they had a $300 chouette. He had a very strong work ethic. After playing several hours at the Coterie, he would go home and roll out positions by hand before Jellyfish came out. He was more of a money player than a tournament player, but he did have some success at the few tournaments he entered.

Wilcox was generous in sharing his knowledge with me. I learned a lot from him.

Wilcox was the first person I ever heard use the term, "checkers in the zone." My question is this: Did you coin this term yourself, or did you pick it up at the Coterie from someone else? Will you ever be seen again at a backgammon tournament?

Warmest wishes to you, wishing you the best of health and wealth, wherever you are.
