Scarlett didn't seem to object to the characterization.

I guzzled enough of the kir royales at the opening cocktail that it seemed like a good idea to enter the tournament. I got past Michel Serrero, which puts me into the semis. It's being held like a jackpot. Only 7 players entered; Mario Sequeira bought back at a discount price (when they announced that the one rebuy would cost 70% of the regular entry fee (350 euros instead of 500), I said I would like to buy that spot directly (that was the 6th kir royale talking) but the directors didn't think that was OK. Still doesn't seem right that the rebuy should cost less.

I'm not sure what else is going on. My opponent tomorrow is an Italian chap I don't know. My dad lost to another Italian guy.

Only 3 players in the intermediate flight, I think they are doing a round robin there.
