Out of idle curiosity and having some time today thanks to the rain I decided to play out this position and see about the upcoming cubes after your play of 24/16* 13/9(2) only. I played the game out 36 times which is nowhere near enough of course but I'm still willing to bet it's 36 more times than anyone not named John O'Hagan has played it out. The rest of the games other than the position posted below had nothing to do with any sequence in the near future. Not one turn down the line, not three turns down the line, not even ten. While I like the structure of the made 9pt as I'm sure many do in this particular position it doesn't seem like it will hone in on many efficient cubes from my limited trials.
This first one will of course be roughly the same had the opponent entered with 3x, 4x, or 5x on the immediate sequence.
