I went through Blue's rolls, but cannot find a take for White. About the best thing that can happen for White is for Blue not to cover and for White to hit, but then White is still playing 3 back against one, behind in the race, with a worse structure, and Blue'd have the 16-point semi-anchor. In most cases, Blue just covers and has three checkers semi-primed.

Final check against Stick's rule of thumb: is it mutually gammonish? No, White will not win many gammons from here, so a cube should not be ruled out on the basis of that rule.

Double and hope for a take.
