Nack points out that Bob Floyd's (Bill Kennedy's) position rolls out as redouble/pass in XG. Does that mean the position therefore has defined equity because the cube won't climb to astronomic levels?

I think there is still a problem. XG's neural net only estimates the equity of each position. It can easily be wrong and we can't use it's rollout to exclude the possibility that the correct cube action is "redouble/take." If "redouble/take" is correct for both sides, then the equity of Floyd's position is undefined. So we can't say that "redouble/take" is wrong -- there is no way to compare a position with undefined equity (redouble/take) against one with defined equity (redouble/pass) to know which is better.
