Magriel Obituary -- NYT?

I'm glad I had a chance to play one small jackpot match with Paul last November in Cyprus, and to have him sign my scoreboard.

I dropped a line to the New York Times news desk to suggest they might want to do an obituary feature on Paul. Paul is certainly of a stature deserving such attention. The fact he wrote a backgammon column for the Times back in the 70's might be an added hook.

I tried to find an email for Dylan Loeb McClain, who writes a lot of chess-related obituaries as the likeliest person to get the assignment, but to my annoyance couldn't find a direct email for him. If by chance any of the chess players out there are in contact with him through chess circles, it would be great to give him a heads-up on this.

Perhaps there are other publications worth alerting as well?
