I have no strong opinion about the number of nexts in your match (and I'm not a member of GoL), but what I would like is a transcript of the skipped moves.

Not full diagrams in separate posts like you did at first, just something before the day's decision, like "You voted for ... it then went 3-1 6/5 8/5 ; 6-5 24/13 ; etc... Move number ...: Readers to play ...

If you have scruples on a move, you could put a comment there and it may start a discussion.
