A couple ref positions (sort of): Well timed acepoint wins 25% with skillful play (and I do mean "well timed" and "skillful")!

Perfect homeboard, closed out, vs. perfect bearoff structure wins 4%.

This is much worse than the former. Definitely more chances to hit than the latter (by a lot). White's problem could be the timing. Blue's problem is the spare on the 6-point and stripped 5-point (although the latter could be remedied, with luck).

I would take. I don't know if the Simborgs would, though.

And there is a skill difference question, besides. You should be able to beat Randee but Rory vs. Phil??

I hold off.
