For this rollout, I set the “Maximum Cube Value” to “Cubeless,” and then removed the checkmark from the Jacoby checkbox. Interestingly, d = down (13/8), which builds a tower on the 8pt, has jumped to the top position. Tied is S = Split (23/20, 13/11), only 0.0008 behind. V = Variant up (24/22, 23/20), the play that comes out on top of the unlimited games rollout, has dropped to third.
These results tend to support Daniel’s notion that, for practical purposes, V and S are tied in unlimited games. This in spite of the fact that a strict application of the Ballard/Weaver error scale has S “very close” rather than “tied.”
