Ah, I think I see it now! So the MET for $10/$40 table stakes would be

4a0a: 0%
4a1a: 12.5%
4a2a: 25.0%
4a3a: 37.5%
3a4a: 62.5%
2a4a: 75.0%
1a4a: 87.5%
0a4a: 100%

If we let p₀, p₁, p₂, p₃, p₅, p₆, p₇, p₈ denote the respective probabilities of these eight outcomes, then the bot will play so as to maximize

sum_i (12.5*i*p_i)

and this is equivalent to maximizing

sum_i (i – 4)*p_i

since sum_i p_i = 1.
