XG will probably break its mid point next roll, which should give XG time to hold the anchor long enough to force us off our mid. So we might pay now, since that is a likely outcome anyway. But it's rarely right to pay now if you can avoid it, and I'd like to keep the chances we have for rolling some saving doubles. There are several ways to play safe, but I don't think it's right to play to win the holding battle, like 6/1 4/1. That will only damage our race, which is our biggest asset.
