Are full rollouts obsolete?

How's that for an attention-getter? :)

XG++, from my observation, is very strong at evaluating positions, particularly run-of-the-mill positions that comprise most of backgammon. How often have people seen XG++ 'evals' overturned by rollouts, and how big (equity units) were the reversals?

People have done considerable work in the past rolling out every position in a book going back to Jellyfish days. I'm curious if XG++ would do just as well as bot X (your choice of any bot prior to XG2) with such a project, and in <1% of the time. Should we perform the experiment?
