What else do you want to play? Breaking the 18pt is necessary here because all the other plays suck so hard. There's some good duplication for the extra blot/shots left [21 31 61] and your entire game plan is to play against your opponent's one back checker. You need the coverage and it especially plays better over the next few turns assuming you aren't immediately hit. (and that's the main variation you should be thinking about since it is what is most likely to happen)
