You need to keep 20 20 vision on the cube and consider the variations of each alternative where your opp gets to throw the rock at you.
After 16/10 7/4 most of your opp's 3's followed by a failure to hit result in a RD/P. After most of your opp's 2's; a wafer-thin take at best.
7/1 5/2 buy's you a little extra time; a roll longer but nevertheless leads to the same variation as 16/10 7/4.
16/7 is looking up the ass of a dead dog.
16/13 7/1 is the only play that fights for the centre; offering several variations of direct/indirect possibilities of hitting a shot and complicates your opp's access to a 4 cube.
