Howard Markowitz

The last time I played an important (seemed that way to me, anyway) match in an ABT event I felt like my head was going to explode when it was all over. And that was one match. Which brings me to Howard Markowitz, the double winner in the Open and the Masters in last weekend's ABT event in LA. Howard played 13 clocked matches in these two events against good or very good opposition and managed to win them all. Sure it takes skill and luck to pull this off, but it's the necessary composure, and especially the stamina, that I admire most. My hat is off.
