The finals of the 50k horse event were on ESPN Tuesday night. I didn't see the first hour and missed the beginning of the second hour. That started with four players but one got knocked out quickly. The three remaining were a NYC securities trader, a French 'pro' who Hellmuth ridiculed unmercifully (don't put much stock in that myself -- Hellmouth making an objective assessment that is), and Freddy Deeb.

So, this is the event designed to eliminate the lucky masses??

Back when the WSOP was invitational, NLHE was good enough. Once the Chris Moneymakers were allowed to enter, the pro's got their egos bruised and had to create their own event. Wonder how their egos are feeling now.
