Generating nice printable images from GNUBG positions

I would like to generate nice images of positions from GNUBG which would print well in black and white.

One of the options from GNUBG is the PDF print. This would be acceptable but for the fact that the dark point colors are too dark so they don't contrast well with the black checkers.

Wondering if there is a utility somewhere that will take a GNUBG position ID and generate a nice black and white printable image.

Thanks.

By the way, this would be great for the USBG magazine to use too. The XG position images don't render very well in black and white.
