I agree with Daniel. You shouldn't need to have a big equity difference between two plays to be able to learn something. If two plays of very different character come out to almost the same equity, that tells you something. You shouldn't be trying to learn too much from a single rollout anyway (unless it's a point that you already mostly understand and you're just making a small adjustment to your knowledge). You should be taking the position and playing around with it to understand the various factors that affect the decision. Whether or not two moves come out almost the same equity in one particular position in the family of positions you're studying is not so important. How much the equity changes when you modify the position to another one in the same family tells you a lot more.
