USBGF Online Championship

USBGF NATIONAL ONLINE OPEN DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP TO BE PLAYED SUNDAY, February 24th AT 3 P.M. EASTERN ON GRIDGAMMON.

The USBGF National Online Championship will be played Sunday, February 24th at 3 p.m. on GridGammon. The finalists are Doug Amenda (thephoneix2) and Adam Versaw (adamV).

The USBGF National Online Championship is, most likely, the most stringent test of skill of any backgammon event worldwide. First contestants were required to win one of the 23 brackets of eight (184 entries), then they were required to win five more rounds in a very challenging format in which it is almost impossible for a less than strong World Class player to succeed; match sets consisting of best 2 of 3 11 to 15-point matches. Each of the finalists have won 11 matches thus far and the winner will add 2 more to his total.

Congratulations to Doug and Adam on their very impressive accomplishments!

Watchers are welcome to enjoy the world class level play and possible commentary by other world class players.
