The cube's still on Black's side of the board because he doesn't have a recube yet.
Ok. I see that now. Since there are no market losers (it's still a take when black is closed out on the bar) it can't possibly be incorrect to hold.
That said, cubing this position with white on roll is only a .002 error according to a 3-ply XG rollout. So, it might be a good practical double - give up .002 now to avoid making a much bigger error later.
(I also now realize my brain fart for the checker play - I had made the incorrect assumption that since white can't be gammoned picking up a second checker doesn't matter.)
