Giant Paul Weaver Wins Another Award

Giant and world wide backgammon great and author/lecture Paul Weaver won a most unique award, presented by Phil Simborg and Paul Klein at The Chicago Open yesterday.
Simborg and Klein were in the hallway when Weaver came up to them and said, "Let me tell you what I just did in the bathroom."
Phil stopped him and told him he has won the prize: that was the worst opening line ever given to tell a story.
Paul went on to say that he put his backgammon board on the counter but didn't know that would automatically turn on the water faucet, and while he was busy doing other things, he had flooded the entire room. I looked down to see that his feet were soaked!
Prior to yesterday, Phil had given the award to Jake Jacobs who's opening line was: "Have you got a few seconds so I can tell you a story?" (Four hours later I was still listening to the complete, unedited, history of backgammon including a story about everyone who had ever played.)
Sorry, Jake--now you are just honorable mention for the award.
