I’m clueless!

Ultimately, I honed the alternatives down to Q (Quad split) = 24/20 23/22 and X (Hit and split) = 24/20 6/5*. From this pair, I chose X, reasoning that XG might roll a 6, and thereby miss our blot. Even if hit, we should have no trouble establishing a strong rear position.

X (Hit and split) = 24/20 6/5*
