I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how you managed to get 7 checkers on the midpoint.

But to answer your question, how do you expect to win a gammon? You only have a three point board and four points overall. Your chance of containing white's runners are minimal. With only 8 checkers in the zone a blitz is not ripe yet, and white has a decent looking blockade so blitzing is somewhat risky, assuming you can get a few more checkers in the zone before she anchors.

The rough rule of thumb is that you need to win two gammons for every single point loss in order to make it worth playing on for gammon once you've passed the cash point. You don't win that many gammons, although it's more than I would have thought.
