Falafel is the John Madden of backgammon commentary, Magriel was/is really good, but Falafel has improved the genre. I think even the non-BG player would appreciate and get the gist of his comments.

For the europeans and those that have not watched American football, John Madden was for many years the best color commentator of the game on TV. He took technical gobble-de-gook of football terminology/strategy and made it understandable to the casual watcher of the game. Falafel does that for BG.
