When I teach I tell people that if they actually find and look at every play they will immediately make at least 25% fewer errors, if not 50%.

This one was definitely me not looking at every play. I completely ignored it. Didn't give it the slightest thought. But, it... Leaves 1 blot instead of 2, dupes 5's, and leaves fewer shots (15 instead of 16, including the double hit), makes it easier to cover the blot if it isn't hit, and leaves us with an attacker if opponent enters on the deuce. Seems clear now, despite giving up the 5.
