I never did it for a "living", That would be way too much of a grind-even in the best of times 30-40 years ago. It has always been a grid. I have a friend who taught me to play, he played on a couple of Ken Uston's teams many years ago. He couldn't stand it either.

It was fun to learn, get good at and go win a few bucks, took lots of practice and to win you have to be prepared. It's not like riding a bike, so to speak.

I do miss it, I dont give casino's any action at all. Craps is for suckers etc. The better you play the slower you lose-but you still lose. Here is one exception: I have a freind who is a monster gambler and he cut a deal with a casino with a 15% discount and 100X odds, He hired a mathematician and worked it out so he did have the best of it against that casino because the discount they gave him $150,000 in play back for every million he lost and the 100X odds(there were more terms to the game), gave him the edge, then he got lucky while he had the best of it, he netted just under $10M before they cut him off. Of course he lost the $10M elsewhere. Was lots of fun tho to sweat that action and enjoy the comps. There is a long back story on how he got in this position and why the casino didnt realize they had the worst of it. That's very rare.
