White has the better board and I'm ahead in the race so I don't see the utility of giving her a whole bunch of shots by running off the anchor.

6/1 buries a checker, so I don't like that. Playing off the 8 leaves a blot that White would love to zap. My instinctual play is to bring two down, unfortunately that stacks the 8 point and strips the midpoint. The other reasonable play would be 13/4, slotting a valuable point while unstacking.

With the anchor I think I can afford to slot the 4. The main weakness for blue seems to be the stacks and the lack of homeboard points. I can't really do anything about the stacks on the 6 & 8, but I can address the stack on the midpoint and start to address the board problem.
