Yes. The speed of the tournament comes from people playing as soon as there is a eligble opponent available.

We have done live swing tours with clocks as well and there wasn't any noticeable difference. More stress and hassle which is unnecessary since the stake increases already are handled by a clock that's enough.

Theoretically you could slow down your play to a crawl but it's not very effective as you pretty much have to win to gain enough of a pot to be able to continue without being all in all the time. Theorethically you could also constantly run to the tournament status table and try to match yourself up with certain players. Hasn't happened (and you would destroy your concentration quite elegantly) and a TD would pretty much give you the boot if you start spending enough time messing around because it would be so visible.
