Backgammon also featured in two other critically acclaimed high profile TV series:
'Homeland' Season 3, Episode 9: 'One Last Time' The lead special ops guy plays backgammon with Brody
and also featured a number of times in 'Lost'
"Pilot, Part 2" - Locke told Walt that backgammon is "Two players. Two sides. One is light, one is dark."
"Left Behind" - Just before Locke talked to Kate and told her that he was leaving with the Others, Kate was shown moving white backgammon pieces around on a backgammon game board.
"Eggtown" - Locke played backgammon again, this time with the black pieces. Sawyer played against him with the white pieces.
Nice to see our favourite game get this high profile exposure - might spark off some interest from new players.. even though I vaguely recall the actor's moves looking very dodgey in places!
