Yes, I have seen those problems. I don't know of a quick and dirty workaround. Usage of Parallels, VMWare, VirtualBox virtual machine programs and running a real copy of a Windows OS is about the only real way. You may find that getting other people to invite you will allow you to get a match going.

Of course the Windows client isn't without problems as it can punt you unceremoniously from the table and lobby. I often see this problem within 10-20 seconds of kibitzing a match. I keep going back until it doesn't crash.
