Not sure I would do it OTB, but guided by your Valentine's doggerel, let me suggest a QF play:

6/3, 4/off

I like it better than ripping two off. Getting hit surely won't cost the game, and probably won't cost the gammon. Taking one checker off, and smoothing the distribution such that several more will be borne off before breaking another point, should increase the BG rate.
