Actually, its not to get hit, its to make a faster board. You want to make these points, as the forward positioning of your double anchors is more conducive to an earlier turnaround than rear positioned anchors would be. Its also about unstacking the heavy 6pt. You have no spares on the 8, and your flexibility is poor.

This kind of play means that you dont mind getting hit, and ideally you wont get hit, however the hit one checker plays all have more positive parlays in that you get the change to make the other point pretty quickly. So, you get to create some flexibility, some forwards opportunities, and all in all, the upside is good. You dont even mind too much if you get both hit, as that will result in a significant re-timing, which is helpful to the cause.

Its important to note that you arent doing this in order to get hit, you are doing this to create the homeboard primarily, and more options secondarily. I may have those two reversed, but thats my perspective.
