GridGammon on IPad?

Been waiting now for years, and I still can't play my frequented sites (GridGammon and Safe Harbor Games) on iPad. There are several nice iPad backgammon GUIs that exist, xG and FIBS come to mind. I wonder why sites not supporting iPad can't work out a deal to use these existing GUIs, and interface their servers to them? Why invent the wheel a dozen times. Seems like a way for developers of existing software to make money, and a way for existing backgammon services to reduce cost of providing an iPad client. Split the app revenues or something crazy like that.
