A cry in the dark I fear dawn is some time away. A big question which a small answer will not resolve. One needs to give game winning chances a value then reference MWC to arrive at a doubling window .Plenty of arithmetical gymnastics on the way. The good news is MWC only has a true value between matched players. That happens mostly in the top flight. Very often cube decisions can be resolved by using simple roll odds.

In your example white can win with any double. Should brown get to roll he has 14 winning rolls = 39%. Hence white has winning chances of 61% + his first roll chances. A good time for white to cube maybe. A win for white becomes 3 away 5 away. Brown is odds on to lose A drop is order of the day, stay at 5 away 7 away. Common sense rules.

Master the cube and chequer play get to understand the doubling window, one day you may be upto using it for real. Even then you will not call on it Too often
