I am guessing that you don't try to remember these 300 positions but instead have a small set of core positions that you do memorize? How many for a position type?

I'm taking a stab in the dark here but I'd guess there are at least 50 early game blitz positions I know as reference positions. The more the merrier for early game blitzes. Other types of games I may know as many as zero reference positions. Early game blitzes lend themselves to analysis via reference positions a lot easier than say prime v. prime positions.
