In Response To: relationship between money game PR and match play PR? (Tenland)

While I have not looked carefully at this in a long time, I have always believed that it is more difficult to play a 5 point match well than a money game--just the opposite of your observation. Particularly with the jacoby rule and the consistency of take points and GV's I find far less complexit in money games.

Now, maybe this is because I personally have so much more experience playing money games, or maybe this result varies with the particular player's skill level and holes in his game.

Even those games in a 5 point match that end up being played to the end I almost the end without a cube may still have had many cube decisions along the way. Recubes in a 5 point match can get extremely complicated as well.
