If we do not slot the 4pt now, we will probably never make it. Fortunately, the blot in our opponent's board (not to mention our anchor) gives us a little bit of cover. The alternative is to dump another checker behind the Dillies' anchor, but that does not lead to a very promising future. Once we have a blot on the 2pt, our subsequent play will require more safe, dumping plays, and we will often end up having trouble making either 3pt or the 4pt.
