Safe play would require breaking our 6pt. If we did that, then our position would suddenly look very similar to the Dillies’, especially if they could make their 1pt.

Running off our anchor seems to be exactly what the Dillies would like us to do. They would have attacking options and would not be forced to give up their anchor.

That leaves volunteering a shot in the outfield. Bringing two checkers in allows us to keep all of our spares in front of the Dillies’ anchor. To hit the Dillies would have to break that anchor, and we might get returns at the blot on their 1pt or any blot they had to leave in our board. Otherwise, we would still have a fair chance to enter and hit as they try to come home.
