Note that delaying doubling does not necessarily mean waiting until it is a pass. Also I am not sure what you mean here by "knowing your opponent will take" since there will most likely be some point where he drops. But here is an example: If you know your opponent will surely take next roll then it is correct to not double a 4 roll vs 4 roll bearoff.
