When i first saw this problem I did wonder why it was posted. I think they had a childrens competition in the Japaneses open and guessed the cube was offered, a knee jerk play. Probably on account of the 4 point board . Must be winning by a mile !!! Some players over egg things with thoughts of doubling windows ,blitzes, duplication and whatever else . The basics are lost on the way.It helps to be aware of GWC, before meddling with the CUBE. At no more than a glance the game is at parity. The runners of both parties have not escaped, hence A possibility of gammons for both. A cube at this time could put the match on the line and neither side has a serious advantage or any idea who may win.. Theres still plenty of play and at 50/50 this of course is not surprising the child got it wrong.

PS:What the hell Keene this is an easy problem, really !! its certainly not close, to double is a BLUNDER
